Who are we?
OptiCare is founded by four dedicated high school students hoping to improve people's daily lives. Upon hearing about the daily challenges colourblind people face, we decided to use our coding, problem solving and marketing skills to build an all-in-one app, providing assistance in various areas.

Bernice Ho - Operations Director
My name is Bernice and I'm really passionate about business, application of science and charity. Seeing people's smiles always make my day. Through applying my technical skills in science, I can offer a solution to a recurring social problem - colourblindness. When I have free time, I enjoy playing squash, participating in MUNs and listening to music. It was a joy creating the OptiCare app! I hope it makes a big impact to the visually impaired community.
Lorina Lee - Project manager
My name is Lorina, and I’m passionate about the field of biology and psychology. I find joy in making a positive impact in people’s lives, whether big or small, and I hope OptiCare finds a place in the lives of those with colour vision deficiency which is often linked to mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. In my free time, I love unwinding with my two cats, fiddling with my instruments, or practicing archery.

Darren Fong - Lead Developer
Hi, my name is Darren. As the lead developer here, I live for the thrill of turning complex problems into elegant code. For me, programming is more than just a skill—it's a way to build solutions that genuinely help people. Outside of work, I love Model United Nations and rewatching my favorite cartoon, Pikachu.
Bernard Ho - Lead Researcher
Hi, I'm Bernard, the lead researcher for our team. My passion is digging into the social dynamics we encounter every day, and I love diving headfirst into the rabbit holes of trending topics to uncover fresh insights. When I'm not deep in research mode, you can usually find me on a squash court, exploring the latest games, or hunting down the best new dishes as a dedicated foodie.
